Emmy Liana Dewi, a speaker on holistic practices, is the first certified Laughter Yoga teacher in Indonesia, as accredited by Madan Kataria M.D., founder of Laughter Yoga. In her presentations, Emmy has added Laughter Yoga as a dynamic relaxation technique. The participants expressed that they gained benefits immediately after practicing laughter exercises. They felt more energetic, released, refreshed and happier.

Laughter produces ‘feel-good hormones’ which are called endorphins. These hormones can make us feel happy, and help boost our immune system. Laughter also produces ‘natural killer cells’ which protect us from cancer, and also increase blood circulation and provide more oxygen to the whole body. It is proven that laughter is the best medicine and it is free of charge.

Always a teacher at heart, Emmy, formerly a teacher at an American School now loves teaching laughter yoga as it has lightened her up and given her a way to help many others, while also changing her life to one of greater joy, confidence, and better health. Emmy is also a certified acupuncturist, a speaker for Capacitar Indonesia on self-healing & trauma-healing, has made personal-development by continuing a life-long learning and teaching process.  She believes by teaching Laughter Yoga, she can help others to enhance the quality of life, especially to school children, as Laughter Yoga can enhance both emotional and social quotients which have important roles in a child's future.

As a Laughter Yoga professional, Emmy enjoys teaching the Certified Laughter Yoga Leader course, as well as presenting laughter yoga at a variety of events such as workshops, employee appreciation or pre retirement program, relaxation, health and wellness events, ladies groups, and non-profit organizations, as well as helping people to form laughter clubs.

 


Emmy Liana Dewi, seorang praktisi kesehatan holistic, merupakan pengajar Yoga Ketawa pertama di Indonesia yang mendapatkan sertifikasi dari dr. Madan Kataria, penemu Yoga Ketawa. Emmy telah memperkenalkan Yoga Ketawa sebagai teknik relaksasi dinamis ke dalam lokakarya-lokakarya yang ia adakan. Banyak sekali peserta yang langsung mendapatkan manfaat Yoga Ketawa setelah mengikuti latihan ketawa. Mereka merasa lebih berenergi, lega, segar dan gembira.

Emmy yang merupakan mantan guru di sebuah sekolah Amerika di Riau menikmati mengajarkan Yoga Ketawa karena Yoga Ketawa telah membuatnya lebih bahagia, percaya diri dan sehat. Emmy juga adalah seorang praktisi akupunktur bersertifikat dan pelatih self-healing dan trauma-healing yang tergabung dalam Capacitar Indonesia. Ia selalu berusaha untuk mengembangkan dirinya dengan belajar teknik-teknik baru dan mengajarkannya kepada orang lain. Emmy percaya bahwa dengan Yoga Ketawa, ia dapat membantu orang lain untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup mereka, terutama anak-anak sekolah karena Yoga Ketawa dapat meningkatkan EQ dan keterampilan sosial mereka yang memiliki peran penting untuk masa depan anak-anak.

Sebagai seorang pelatih Yoga Ketawa, Emmy memberikan pelatihan ‘Certified Laughter Yoga Leader’, mengajarkan Yoga Ketawa di berbagai acara seperti lokakarya, program pra-pensiun, relaksasi, dll; untuk berbagai macam organisasi seperti perkumpulan wanita dan organisasi nirlaba, dan membantu mendirikan klub-klub ketawa.


Laughter Yoga is total freedom to laugh. Without being dependent on any conditions and reasons, it provides an action that can be easily done to change the way people feel. Laughter brings joy, better health, and peace to people, and to the world as well.’
